Atomic Heart crosses the 10 million players. The Mundfish studio starts a new creative label.

On May 29, 2025, developer Mundfish announced that Atomic Heart has now reached over 10 million players worldwide.

The milestone was reached a little more than two years after the debut on PC, PlayStation and Xbox in February 2023. As a first work of a previously unknown studio, the title quickly became a surprise success of the AAA category.

The game impressed many with its visual quality, cinematic staging and a striking retro futurism design. Critics praised the provocative narrative style and the independent artistic style. Atomic Heart was called “Best of the Year” lists over 60 times, received a BAFTA recognition, won the Steam Award for “Outstanding Visual Style” and was nominated for a Hollywood Music in Media Award.

In addition to the main game, three large story DLCs have already appeared, one last is currently in the works.

With this success in the back, Mundfish is now founding the new creative label Mundfish Powerhouse. This is not a classic publishing department, but an operational and creative partnership for selected projects with great potential.

PowerHouse is intended to support developers and investors in implementing ambitious games from the concept phase to publication. The initiative promises focus on a few, but particularly brave and high -quality games that are supposed to set new standards. According to Mundfish, the first projects are already under development.
