According to Circana Analyst Mat Piscatella, nobody will benefit from Grand Theft Auto VI in 2025.
It has been known for a few days that Grand Theft Auto VI will be released on May 26, 2026 for Xbox Series X | s and PlayStation 5, and fans have to wait almost three quarters of a year longer than originally planned by Rockstar Games.
Circana analyst Mat Piscatella assumes that the shift will have a significant impact on the video game industry, although there will be no profiteers in 2025.
The Open World Gangster title has the potential to bring players back to consoles, to drive hardware sales, to give the industry as a whole and to arouse the interest of new investors. At least in 2025 nothing becomes of it.
