I have to admit that I’m really into it again with Halo Infinite. The 343 Industries game has finally found the key. And it is that in my case, beyond the lack of ever-pressing content, the complaint was in the absurdity of only gaining experience through challenges that did not even encourage playing.
Thankfully, this appears to be getting a proper overhaul, with more experience changes coming in the future. However, what fans of the game enjoyed the most was the inclusion of the new Forge mode, which performs great.
Halo Infinite: Forge is more secure and functional if it runs on the server side
This creation mode is still in beta, so it has a lot to polish. However, it is quite functional and as I said, we have seen some very crazy creationsI can’t wait to see what we’ll see from users in the final version.
The fact is that unlike previous versions, Halo Infinite’s Foge requires an always-on online connection, which bothered some users. Michael Schorr, one of the designers of this Forge mode, commented on Twitter on some of the reasons why this mode requires login.
Among the justifications for this is the fact that the PC version could host modified files and affect the gaming experience, by serving the files from the network they can guarantee the safety of users. He also explains that there are parts that are rendered from the server to empower creators. Finally, server-side patching ensures that all users are protected without the need for constant patching.
We’ve seen a lot of talk about why Forge relies on an online connection. Here are some key reasons for this. Thanks for reading and keep giving us your feedback! 👊⚒️ pic.twitter.com/4HP6P1R304

And you do you think? Do you think the studio’s decision is appropriate?
