That’s it, the end of the year is near. Many of you will undoubtedly meet with family, friends or use a few days to play and relax! And before we can find each other better on our own in 2022, we wanted to take the time to thank you and wish you happy holidays. Because it has to be said In 2021 you were totally crazy!
New experiences, unchanged support!
It’s difficult to fully recover from our last twelve months. At the height of our three (almost four!) Years, we actually had more moments and experiences in our short existence than ever before. Xbox News was fucking full and we loved keeping track of it and sharing it with you through our 4,000+ articles published. Most importantly, we’ve made XboxSquad more than just a news site. And when we say “we” we mean the team and you
More and more of you read us, trust us and live the adventure with us. In 2021, more than ten million pages were crawled on the website. 10,000,000. A crazy statistic on our scale that shows your enthusiasm for Xbox and your support for our work. With a special place of course for announcements and games, but also for scandals that shake the industry, debunking rumors, content created by the community and of course content 100% XboxSquad.
We experienced many great premieres this year. For this, you once again deserve a big thank you. Because when we are at the origin of certain initiatives, it is you who make such successes and moments so extraordinary. By and large, we are thinking in particular of:
- The exclusive marketing of Board game Sea of thieves, not found in France which we delivered last May.
- The creation and organization of a physical event dedicated to the E3, the XboxSquad SummerFest. With Xbox conference on a big screen in a private room, entertainment, guests, gifts and a live broadcast on Twitch. In addition, the ONLY physical event in France is dedicated to the show and the key to unforgettable memories and more than $ 700 donated handyman !
- The realization and dissemination of Double Fine: the deviants who wanted to stay free, our first documentary available in French and fully dubbed in English thanks to support members
- The arrival of bulk orders to give you access to high-end televisions at the best prices. Another first for an amateur platform.
- The discovery of Forza Horizon 5 in preview with a full written and video preview and more than 70,000 viewers or readers (and it’s completely insane!)
- And many other get-togethers like the Game Awards, Gamestreams, our shows, …
“This is just the beginning” (again)
For all of this, for our daily exchange, we just wanted to say thank you. Once again we should say because every year you are still there offering us more and more energy and support. Even the milestone of 50,000 followers on Twitter seemed completely impossible to us at the beginning of the year, and yet you made it. As we said above, you were crazy. And by that we mean limitless enthusiasm with benevolence and relevance!
Obviously after these twelve months of madness we are already looking forward to 2022. There is no shortage of projects and ideas, but we also know that we have to be very vigilant to keep up and meet demands. For example, a lot of you are waiting for an XboxSquad application and we were hoping to get it out by the end of 2021. But the work (and the unforeseen) turned out to be more important than expected and we will have to wait until next year. Fortunately, it is not far.
