Despite the COVID-19 pandemic that continues to rage worldwide, the 2021 edition of Dakar got off to a good start today. Like last year, the most famous rally raid race after 10 years in South America will cross the desert landscapes of Saudi Arabia. On the video game side, it had the right to be converted into a video game by the studio BigMoon Entertainment in the September 2018. Despite a good foundation and the desire to offer a loyal and immersive off-road experience, the title didn’t really convince and hardly achieved a better result at Metacritic than a shy 56/100. However, that half-mistake doesn’t seem to have achieved the will of the developers to offer a game that is more realistic than ever since they recently announced it on the game’s official Facebook pageA sequel is currently in development.

As a reminder, the studio BigMoon Entertainment was acquired by Saber Interactive in October 2019, known among other things for his work in MudRunner and SnowRunner, two particularly successful titles in the field of off-road driving. Hopefully, the experience of the second will benefit the first to provide a worthy adaptation to one of the most famous races in the world.
