Set approximately 100 days after the apocalypse, A quiet place: the way forward follows the same line as the films Quiet placealternating between the present and flashbacks of the first day of the apocalypse. Players will take control of Alex, a young university student trying to survive in this devastated world with her boyfriend Martinehis father and Martin’s parents.
Alex’s engineering knowledge will be crucial to the group’s survival. However, Alex faces an additional challenge: his asthma. Coughing fits, which make a lot of noise, can be fatal in a world where silence is vital for survival. Additionally, early in the game, Alex discovers that she is pregnant, which adds an extra layer of complexity to her fight to survive.
The new dev diary also highlights how the game will focus on the narrative and tension, with moments of high intensity and difficult decisions. Players will need to think strategically and use Alex’s skills to overcome obstacles and protect their loved ones.
