According to director Jesus Iglesias, Turok: Origins is a respectful revival of the beloved brand.
With the announcement of Turok: Origins, Saber Interactive made many a gamer's heart beat faster at the Game Awards. After more than 15 years, the dinosaur hunter is finally starting a new adventure.
Although Turok: Origins is clearly different from the originals due to its third-person perspective and co-op focus, game director Jesus Iglesias emphasizes in an interview with GamesRadarthat it will be a respectful revival of the brand.
Saber has already proven with Warhammer 40,000: Space Marine 2 that it is capable of dealing with earned brands. Fans can also expect a compelling story and great single-player and co-op gameplay in Turok: Origins:
“If there's one thing we know how to do at Saber, it's treating games based on well-known IPs with respect, and Turok: Origins is no exception.”
“Space Marine 2 players experienced the quality and production values that are standard in Saber, and these continue to be reflected in Turok: Origins. We hope the compelling story and great single-player and co-op gameplay will also appeal to players who enjoyed Space Marine 2.”
