Paradox Interactive releases Age of Wonders 4, the long-awaited return of Triumph Studios’ iconic fantasy strategy game series.
Age of Wonders 4 is available now for PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X|S at a suggested retail price of EUR 49.99. A Premium Edition, which includes an Expansion Pass with additional cosmetic content and four future DLCs, is available for EUR 89.99 (RRP).

Age of Wonders 4 invites players to rule a fantasy realm in their own style, in a mix of strategy, role-playing and turn-based combat.
Mighty sorcerer-kings have returned to the world to rule as gods among mortals. Players must rise to challenge this dominion, using spell books to unleash arcane destruction, evolve their armies, and gain new abilities and forms.
For the first time in the franchise, players can create their own custom factions and leave their mark on countless worlds with every choice they make.
Age of Wonders 4 features in detail:
- Building an empire beyond your wildest dreams: Players shape their own following by combining body types, social traits, and arcane powers. They can create anything from a cannibal halfling clan to mystical moon elves, or recreate their favorite fantasy character. Players seek out powerful spell books to magically influence their armies, while watching their own people adapt physically as they transform into angelic beings or descendants of Chaos to face their enemies.
- Strategy meets RPG like never before: Each decision opens up new possibilities as well as tactical advantages; deep, multi-layered strategies allow you to try new tactics or discover new powers in each round. Tactical turn-based battles bring the armies to life, from skirmishes with roaming monsters to massive sieges with many units on each side!
- Write your own legend: A new event system offers unprecedented storytelling possibilities for 4X games. The decisions affect the entire realm, as glory is achieved through brutal rule, through cunning alliances or through ultimate arcane knowledge, among other things. Your own creations can even appear as potential rivals or allies in later games as players experience a new chapter in their own story!
- Leave your footprint in a vast, reactive realm: Players explore a new realm each turn or create their own! New variations can be challenged by combining locations and features, from frozen wastelands ruled by Ice Queens to abandoned ruins where dragons roam.
