Microsoft reportedly wants to treat another franchise like Halo: The Master Chief Collection and release it as a collection.
The Halo: The Master Chief Collection is an example of how to technically and visually prepare a game series for subsequent generations of consoles and players and how to unite the games under one launcher.
Such treatment could also be given to another Microsoft franchise. That’s what XboxEra’s shpeshal_nick claims to have heard and talks about it in episode 93 of the podcast.
However, Nick remains vague in his statement about the collection. Apparently he cannot and must not reveal which franchise it is.
As for a potential timeframe for the Master Chief Collection treatment of a Microsoft gaming token, he’s not sure if it’s scheduled to happen this year or next. But he’s more likely to see next year.
Will Microsoft combine all the games in the Gears of War shooter series in one collection? The Fable role-playing games would also be possible.
