Following the postponement of Ark 2 to the end of 2024, studio Wildcard has announced several things in the roadmap for the current year. Though not big additions, like a new Sabretooth-like dinosaur, or what would be various quality additions to PvP gameplay. Added to the above, and as a great promise from the past, the release in Unreal Engine 5 for Ark: Survival Evolved is finally coming.
This remaster of the first game is the result of an attempt to bring the best product possible. Apparently part of the delay in Ark 2 is caused by a technical glitch, with Ark being the test game to venture into the new Unreal Engine 5. But not everything is test, as we will also have ray tracing with Nvidia’s RTX Direct Illumination enhancement. This, given the elements and the size of the map, can be a technical feat.
Ark will finally have a technical improvement after 6 years
One of the biggest criticisms that existed about the game is that it was still in “preview”, so the technical errors that lasted for years have already become a classic of this game. By the time the game arrived on Xbox, its Xbox One version was collapsing. Thus, now with this new ARK: Survival Ascended version, we will be able to test the technical capabilities of the new generation.
With the above, a game mode will arrive inspired by the battle royale mods that existed in the early days of online gaming. This, along with several non-canonical elements of the game’s story, will provide advancements to what will be the animated series and story of Ark 2 with Vin Diesen at the helm.
