According to a report from Ethan Gach last year, Ubisoft Singapore, the studio behind Skull & Bones, was reportedly in charge of remaking one of the franchise’s most beloved installments. Skull & Bones, originally from Black Flag in 2013, is scheduled for release on February 16, 2024, subject to change.

News about the possible Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag Remake resurfaced recently, when Isaac Tanlead cinematographic designer Ubisoft Singaporeupdated his LinkedIn profile revealing his participation in a “Assassin’s Creed project not yet announced“. The community quickly made the connection, speculating that this project could be the long-rumored Black Flag remake.
PcGamesN, intrigued by the situation, carried out further investigations. They discovered that Tan is not the only developer with a suspicious history. A Project coordinator and one Main artist, whose identity has not been fully revealed, also has an enigmatic but unannounced project on his CV. The lead artist, in particular, has been working on it since September 2023, suggesting that the Assassin’s Creed 4: Black Flag remake (if that is the case) has been in development since at least that date.
