A current leak may reveal the final name of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red.
Some time ago, Ubisoft announced Assassin’s Creed Codename Red, the next offshoot of the popular action-adventure series for the 2024/2025 financial year.
Recently there have been some rumors doing the rounds that the next Assassin adventure will be released in November of this year. While the French publisher is holding back on providing specific information about the game, another possible leak has now emerged.
This is how GameRant reports that X user UBI_FraxV2 recently published the final name of Assassin’s Creed Codename Red (working title).
Accordingly, the game, which is set in feudal Japan, should have the name Assassin’s Creed Shadows carry. He also explains that Ubisoft is planning two DLCs for the upcoming spin-off.
Shortly after UBI_FraxV2 shared this information with the public, his account on X (formerly Twitter) was deleted.
If the name is correct, it could provide initial conclusions about what is happening in the game. Ubisoft already went into more detail about the content and its background with the titles of its predecessors Assassin’s Creed Valhalla, Assassin’s Creed Origin and Assassin’s Creed Odyssey.
“Assassin’s Creed Shadows” now suggests that there is a greater focus on the stealth mechanics and expanding them even more than was the case in its predecessors.
For now, these rumors should be treated with caution. Ubisoft could announce new information about the game on June 10th as part of the annual Ubisoft Forward.
