Today, KOEI TECMO America and developer Gust revealed new details about the characters and exploration of their upcoming JRPG Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land.
In the latest installment of the Atelier franchise, players can freely explore the continent of Aladiss by discovering ruins, uncovering hidden treasures, and meeting all-new characters.
A recently revealed overview trailer gives fans a deeper look at the game's system, while a brand new key visual from Benitama has also been released to celebrate the upcoming game.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land will launch on March 21, 2025 for Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 4|5, Windows PC via Steam and, for the first time in the franchise's history, Xbox Series X|S and Xbox One be available.
Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land follows the adventures of Yumia Liessfeldt and her companions as they embark on a journey to uncover the secrets behind the cataclysm that destroyed the once-great continent of Aladiss and led to the Alchemy was taboo.
Yumia is aided in her search by Flammi, a flying, confident travel companion who once belonged to her mother.
Yumia will also meet many different characters in her travels, including Licht, a highly skilled informant; Wilma, an anthropologist with a passion for the culture of Aladiss; Erhard, the leader of the research team; and the Alber, a small and friendly tribe living in different parts of the world.
During Yumia's adventures, players explore dungeons and ruins in search of hidden treasures, including “memory vials” – remnants of the past that allow them to consult certain information on the board, such as: B. the location of relic treasures in their surroundings.
“Memory Vials” can also be mined to obtain rare materials useful for synthesis.
Players can access valuable treasures using the treasure room keys they find along their journey. In treasure chests they can find “Trait Crystals” that can be used on items or equipment to improve performance.
On their way to Aladiss, fans will also find “mana geysers” that release “particles” needed to unlock new synthesis recipes.
In Atelier Yumia: The Alchemist of Memories & the Envisioned Land, however, exploration is not without its dangers, as players sometimes have to venture into “manabound areas” where very dense mana stagnates.
Upon entering these areas, players' energy will gradually be drained, making running impossible and also reducing combat skills. Players can restore health by finding Alstaelia flowers, while discovering and restoring landmarks clears the area and makes exploration easier.
As the story progresses, players will receive exclusive quests from their traveling companions, but can also earn rewards by completing normal quests. By discovering and unlocking landmarks and prayer shrines while exploring, you will be rewarded with location quests.
In addition to the standard edition, players can pre-order a special physical edition exclusively through the NIS America Store.
The PREMIUM BOX contains the base game, Yumia's prized stuffed animal, an art book, a set of six decorative keychains, a CD with additional tracks, as well as an official short story and an accompanying translation booklet.
Anyone who purchases a physical or digital edition up to two weeks after launch will receive the Athletes of Memories costume for Yumia, the Floating Object of Memories costume for Flammi, and the unique Training Wrist Weight gear .
