On the last day of the year, we got some amazing news and it’s that Katsuhiro Harada confirmed that he is working on a new game for Bandai Namco. But not happy, he said this new project will be the developer’s most “expensive to date”.
Without a doubt, a declaration of intent of what we can expect from this new game, being one of the most ambitious in the business.

Well, honestly, I think this may be the costliest development project in Bandai Namco history. I think it’s amazing that the superiors approved this. Well the approval has passed it’s just because of the coronavirus we really couldn’t get the project started properly.
With this it is clear that the project is still in a very early stage of development and that it will still take time to see it in motion. Plus, Harada, who made these statements at the Piro Live! Live, said he was working on more games besides fighting and didn’t plan to make any games of this style outside of Tekken.
I develop other things besides fighting games. I don’t think I’ll ever make another fighting game other than Tekken. But I will not say what this project is for the moment.
Let’s wait and see how it all turns out.
