The recent collaboration of the author of Song of Ice and FireGeorge RR Martin, with FromSoftware for Ring of Elden was honored by allin view is why. Now the River Begins to Ring by another author, Brandon Sandersonknown to be the creator of Born of the Mists, The Storm Archive Yes The wheel of time among others.

As mentioned in VGC, Sanderson recently received a package of Ring of Elden from Bandai Namco, her publisher, who also included a note that she is interested in working with the author in the future

.

“They are interested in maybe doing something togetherthat’s what he says,” Sanderson said. “I’m too. I actually have a proposal for them in my head… so maybe I should send it to them and see what they think.”

Asked about this proposal, the author said he had a lot of ideas in mind, and that for this particular collaboration, this idea is for a Soulsborne game.

“I always have an idea for everything. That is the question, If you ever had to make a Soulsborne game, what would you do? Do you know what happened when I thought: I wonder what I would do If I ever wrote a story of Magic: The Gathering. I spent four years developing a story of Magic: The Gathering so when Magic reached out to me and said, “Hey, you want to write a story? I could say ‘yes, I already have one, I’m going to write it!’ And I did.”

“In the same way, I thought: what would I do if I made a game like Soulsborne?”. Sanderson continued. “Obviously it’s not for me to decide, is it?” But I have it in my head, so maybe you’ll hear something from me. I have ideas… I always have ideas“. Below we leave you the video where he comments on all this.

obviously let’s see that is still far in time. It remains to be seen whether these first frictions between Bandai Namco and Sanderson lead to anything.

Although we will soon see something more from Brandon Sanderson in the world of video games. Last year, the author confirmed that he was working on something that would see the light of day during this year 2022.
