Long live Prince Alex Kidd! Miracle World DX brings fun and a pretty eye-catching aesthetic.
See for the first time Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX it’s love at first sight, the people of Merge games Yes whining team have taken the intellectual property of SEGA to give it a facelift and bring this classic to our contemporary gaming systems. The development team behind the game are pretty talented when it comes to crafting a visual style that rocks every step, jump, and punch we take with our charismatic protagonist, Prince Alex.

Wow, how beautiful everything is! You are dead …
We are facing a remastering / remake, difficult to classify between one of the two categories and it is that the visual jump compared to what was seen in 1986 is quite palpable, but the classic gameplay is maintained. This means that those who played the title at the time will be able to enjoy the graphics of their childhood while new players will be able to approach the game mechanics of more than three decades ago, but with a much more beautiful packaging.
The double-edged sword is that we are faced with a game which, in its date of manufacture, was marked by fire that comes from times already somewhat distant but which with its beautiful graphic section has nothing to envy to more contemporary competitors. Who happens to this Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX
The video game is aware of the diversity of audiences that could be attracted by its proposal, so, from the options, it is very easy to activate an endless way of life; although of course the limited lives dynamic for the entire game is the default. How precious it is Alex kidd and the good vibes of sitting down to play, moving forward at such a slow pace in which losing all lives means starting over from the beginning is not my thing and after a few minutes of playing I activate the option endless lives. This help just makes it much more pleasant to move forward, but from there the difficulty is the same, the blocks with jumps that will sometimes make us howl more than one cry or the birds that cross our path will continue to be there .
¡Jan Ken Pon!
It’s surprising that to this day, a simple facelift (and surely a few minor gameplay tweaks as well) has been enough for this classic to stay in such good shape at the time. The platform is sometimes a bit complicated or it can be confusing how to defeat one of the bosses in each zone, but these are minor details that do not hamper the pace of play that is created. I also have to stress how varied it can be to face each scenario, tools that will make things easier for us (directly spending a half-phase hovering over enemies) or the fact that each level offers different challenges, they maintain the variety of principle at the end.
I will not put too much emphasis on the audiovisual part (apart from mentioning it everywhere in the text) because there is not much to say, Alex Kidd in Miracle World DX It is just beautiful, there is no decor that is at odds with the rest and I can only say that I feel like the detail is getting more and more. The love of the development team behind this game is palpable in every pixel. Plus, its soundtrack loaded with upbeat themes will make it hard to get up off the couch and move on every time you play.
Completing the game for the first time, which an expert can do in under an hour or a more casual player in about three or four (myself included in the latter group) is just the start of the game. adventure. Playing a game complete with the old graphics, getting ready to complete all the achievements, trying out the classic mode which tries to recreate the SEGA Master System version in detail or a ride through the boss showdown mode are the paths to go once that the first round is over. And of course, a special mention must be given to the battles of Jan Ken Pon, the rock paper or the scissors of all life, and that is each of the appearances in this mini-game can only bring a smile to the face.
A very bad villain.
For those who need a summary of the argument that motivates our hero to hit how many enemies he comes across, which is difficult to do both due to the preciousness of their designs and also because some are quite enough difficult to reach, the excuse here is that there is a very bad evil that endangers the kingdom. Few excuses are needed to dive into Alex Kidd in Miracle World DXIt is simply worth playing and every minute you spend in its colorful world is a joy. Stop what you are doing and come eat rice balls on the planet Aries!
