CD Projekt Red has presented an impressive Cinematic Reveal trailer for The Witcher IV on the Game Awards 2024, which further increases the anticipation for the coming game.

In an official Behind The Scenes video, the developers grant together with the animation studio Plate Exclusive insights into the creation of this trailer.

The trailer focuses on Ciri, who is now the main protagonist succeeding Geralt of Riva. The trailer shows them when a girl called Mioni, which is intended in a remote village as a victim for a monster. The developers emphasize that this scene represents an actual quest in the game in which the player's decisions can influence the outcome.

Technically, the trailer was created with the Unreal Engine 5 and rendered on an unsolved Nvidia GeForce RTX GPU, which explains the impressive visual quality. Cooperation with Plate image, which had already been involved in previous Witcher projects, contributed significantly to the cinematic implementation.

Ciri will playfully have new skills, including the use of a chain in combat and the ability to absorb elements from their surroundings in order to work mighty magic. These mechanics are intended to enable players to combat a variety of strategies.
