Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 is celebrating the greatest success in franchise history and is releasing a new patch for the shooter at the same time.
The full version of Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, released on Friday, launched to phenomenal success, achieving the largest launch in Call of Duty history, as we previously reported.
“Last week’s release of Black Ops 6 was the largest Call of Duty release ever, setting records for first-day playership and launch-day Game Pass subscribers,” reported Microsoft CEO Satya Nadella .
“Sales on PlayStation and Steam have also increased by more than 60 percent compared to the previous year.”
Call of Duty General Manager Matt Cox added: “Our thanks go to all of our players around the world who have made Black Ops 6 the biggest Call of Duty launch ever. Our goal from the start has been to make this great game accessible to as many players as possible, no matter where they are or how they play. Black Ops 6 is a great game and the response from the Call of Duty community has been incredible. And this is just the beginning.”
Just in time for Halloween, Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 launches with the popular Infected mode its first new content drop. Players can jump in now and try to be the last person standing.
To pave the way for Season 1 on November 14th, the cult map Nuketown was released on November 1st. This homage to the classic map stays true to the original design but features significantly improved graphics.
