The Okami sequel project is underway.
One of the big announcements made at The Game Awards 2024 is that Capcom is officially working on a sequel to the classic action-adventure game Okami and will once again be directed by the legendary Hideki Kamiya. No platforms or possible release dates have been announced yet, but we hope it comes to Xbox.
In the words of Capcom itself:
“Okami is a critically acclaimed game for its unique world, heartwarming story, and exciting adventures. Now, a new adventure in the same vein as Okami has been launched. Become Amaterasu, the Japanese sun goddess who took the form of a legendary white wolf, in her quest to defeat Orochi, an eight-headed demon and tyrannical monster who is turning the world of Nippon into a land of ruins.“
