Capcom released its report quarterly results and they mention that the company plans to release “several major new titles” in fiscal year 2022-23 (April 2022 to March 2023).
He also says that Capcom plans to release 45 SKUs (as the product codes are called) throughout said fiscal year. It should be noted that, for cross-platform versions, each version of the game has its own different SKU. In the past fiscal year, Capcom released 24 new SKUs, 14 in the previous one and 35 in the one before this one.
Of the aforementioned 45, a total of 37 million units are expected to be sold., compared to 32.6 the previous year. Of these 37 million, Capcom expects 10 million to come from new games and 27 from the back catalog.
As for what Capcom might have lined up in terms of new releases, some of them have already been confirmed, such as Capcom Battle Collection and the PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of Resident Evil 2, 3 and 7. Moreover, it is likely that Resident Evil Re:Verse there Capcom Arcade 2nd stage are published during the same fiscal year.
