New premium and free anniversary content will appear in March March for Cities: Skylines and his successor.
Paradox Interactive, developer and publisher of games that last for a lifetime is celebrating the 10th anniversary of Cities: Skylines, the award-winning urban planning management game series with over 45 million players.
Originally published on March 10, 2015 for PC platforms, Cities Skylines was developed by the Finnish Studio Colossal Order and quickly developed into the fastest game of paradox. It was released on several consoles and continued to grow with over 60 different extensions and content packages as well as a complete sequel in 2023.

In order to celebrate a decade of fun and creativity, paradox today announced several upcoming publications and free updates, which in March 2025 both for Cities: Skylines and Cities: Skylines II.
On March 18, 2025, Cities: Skylines II player will receive the free anniversary patch, which contains a selection of new parks and buildings in the game that celebrate the series's birthday.
In addition, three creators and three radio stations are published on the same day, which will be available individually or as a bundle and will also be added to the Ultimate Edition of Cities: Skylines II and will be available for download from March 18 at no additional costs for owners of this edition.
These packages are included:
- Drachentor, a content package that is inspired by Chinese architecture and “market neighborhoods”
- Leisure Venues, including new entertainment options, parks and leisure locations
- Mediterranean legacy, which contains buildings inspired by the architecture of the 15th to 19th centuries in Europe, Italy, Portugal and southern France
- Atmospheric piano, Jade Road and Feelgood radio radio stations
The following week, on March 25, 2025, a separate free anniversary patch for the original Cities: Skylines will be added to celebrate the ten-year support of the community.
This patch adds dynamic parks to the game, the appearance of which, depending on the various extensions that each player added to his game, changes in order to appreciate the unique experiences of the players with cities skylines.
Two Creator Packs and a radio station will also be published on March 25th, including:
- Emerging downtown, a pack that focuses on adding a variety of building sizes and construction styles to the lively city centers of the cities
- Countryside that offers a selection of rural charm, from small town libraries and food markets to picturesque, modest town halls
- The Harvest Harmony radio station, a selection of music titles inspired by the Country that fits every rural construction project
The entire cities: Skylines series will be presented in a number of actions in the course of March, including a free-to-play weekend on Steam from March 20 to 24.
From March 13, 2025, a new subscription service will be available, which enables the players to add the entire 65+ DLC catalog to their game for a single monthly subscription fee, and for existing players, a special “completion of completion” will be available to complete their DLC collection.
