You can now register for Pro Competition Season 2 in Mortal Kombat 1.
Warner Bros. Games has already released a new Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns gameplay trailer, highlighting the upcoming downloadable guest fighter Conan the Barbarian. Registration for Pro Competition Season 2 has opened.
The giant Cimmerian warrior is known from the film Conan the Barbarian (1982), in which Arnold Schwarzenegger lends his appearance to the main character of the same name. This will be playable in Mortal Kombat 1 on January 21st as part of the Early Access of the Mortal Kombat 1: Khaos Reigns expansion.
It will also be available for purchase for all players from January 28th.
After appearing on a battlefield, Conan, through relentless, arduous work and countless battles over the course of his life, eventually became one of the most powerful warriors the world has ever seen. After the death of his parents and the destruction of his village by the evil warlord Thulsa Doom, he was sold into slavery.
When his master finally gave him freedom, he set out on a quest for revenge. His journey ultimately led to the downfall of Doom, freeing thousands from the Sorcerer's grasp. In Mortal Kombat 1, Conan is ready to defend the Earth Empire from the vile beings who want to conquer it.
Conan's unique and devastating techniques, centered around his iconic Atlantean sword, are spotlighted in the new trailer. The master swordsman can perform complex maneuvers with his formidable steel weapon, including a precise sword twist and a signature overhead strike that brings his opponents to their knees with brutal force.
The video also reveals one of Conan's bloodcurdling Fatalities and offers the first glimpse of his Animality, the brutal finisher in which the character transforms into a powerful bull to destroy his enemies. The popular Animalities are now available as a free content update to anyone who owns Mortal Kombat 1.
Additionally, registration for the Mortal Kombat 1 Pro Competition: Season 2 is now open, marking the return of the Mortal Kombat 1 global eSports program.
Fighters of all ranks have a chance to win a share of the $255,000 prize pool by participating in the numerous live events in North America, South America and Europe, as well as the online events.
Season 2 begins with Pro Kompetition Mexico, an in-person event in Mexico City on February 22nd. The competition will ultimately culminate in the Final Kombat World Championship, scheduled for September 2025.
