Six years have passed since the launch of Civilization 6, but the Fireaxis franchise is still more alive than ever, proof of this is the post-launch support the game has received in the form of civilization packs, scenarios and expansions such as Rise and Fall and Gathering. All of that, not to mention big free updates like Red Death, but it looks like the developers are already thinking about the future
News regarding the development of a new installment is somewhat lackluster following the announcement of the departure of Xcom 2 and Marvel’s Midnight Suns director Jake Solomon.
A new civilization is brewing

Confirmation of the game came without much fanfare via a message on the official Twitter account. For its part, it is confirmed that Civilization 6 Creative Director Ed Beach will remain in charge of the next projectthe one with which Heather Hazen, director of Fireaxis Games, seeks to take the franchise to other levels.
Official naming details for the new installment have yet to emerge, so we’ll most likely be talking about a “Civilization 7” for some time to come until Fireaxis officially names its new creation which we won’t see for a while yet.
