343 Industries wants to integrate the universe from the Halo TV series with different content into Halo Infinite.
Halo Infinite is set to receive cross-marketing and content from Paramount Plus’ Halo TV series. Therefore, the 343 Industries team is trying to find a way to integrate some content from the TV series into the Halo Infinite game universe.
“We’re going to have some content inspired by the show that’s coming a little later in the game,” Brian Jarrard, community director at 343 Industries, told The Washington Post. However, there is no plan as to when the content should appear.
343 Industries hopes to be able to attract new players through the series. The TV series will introduce many to the Halo universe for the first time, and it’s hoped to spark interest in Halo Infinite.
“The hope is that we get a lot more attention. do you like the show Check out the game, it’s free by the way,” said Brian Jarrard, noting that the projects are working hand-in-hand to create a larger audience.
“We’re looking at threads and nods to bring to Halo Infinite because it’s a service and we’ll have the ability to shape and influence experiences and content over time, even if it’s technically about different universes and timelines. I think at some point we’ll be nodding back and forth between the two…seeking ways to make the show fun.”
The second season of Halo Infinite will be released on May 3rd and will show if 343 Industries manages to please the angry Halo fans.
