Nexon and Tencent collaborate to release The First Berserker: Khazan in China.
NEXON announced a new partnership with Tencent to publish the game The First Berserker: Khazan in China.
Nexon's NEOPLE, the developer of Dungeon & Fighter, will work closely with Tencent to develop a localized version of the game for the PC platform.
The agreement builds on the highly successful partnership between Nexon and Tencent, which launched Dungeon & Fighter PC in 2008 and Dungeon & Fighter Mobile, one of China's most successful mobile games, in May this year.
In August, the two companies announced an agreement to publish two games from Nexon Embark Studios – ARC Raiders and THE FINALS, specifically adapted for Chinese gamers.
The First Berserker: Khazan is a hard-hitting single-player action RPG set in Nexon's Dungeon & Fighter universe, with exciting combat and unique cartoon-style presentation.
Set on the continent of Arad several hundred years before the original Dungeon & Fighter, the game follows Khazan, an exiled general who is falsely accused of treason. Khazan seeks revenge using skills, weapons and armor.
“Nexon’s synergistic partnership with Tencent has produced some of China’s best games in recent memory,” said Junghun Lee, President and CEO of Nexon. “The games we publish together reflect the respect both companies have for the players and culture in China.”
Nexon last showed a gameplay video in November in which you could take a look at the boss challenges.
