The British developer known for his work on the titles Forza, Sonic, OutRun, Sackboy and Crackdown 3, has posted new vacancies on its official website where the development of 2 major projects is mentioned. According to these, one of those games will be an open-world AAA and a brand new third-person multiplayer shooter.
Given the studio’s track record and continued support for the development of Xbox titles, this could be something to do with Microsoft.
The creators of Crackdown 3 are looking for new collaborators for their next projects.
The video game analyst Mauro NL shared information about offers that could easily be missed between listing jobs available in the studio.

Depending on the offers, for the first project the studio is looking for a “Passionate video game designer to work on the next AAA action and unlock the world title of a well-established franchise, helping to expand the universe, improve gameplay and storytelling “. More information can also be found in another offer on Audio Designer, which describes the project as “A great AAA console title that has yet to be announced.”
The second project is looking for a lighting artist and is mentioned in ads as “An amazing opportunity to join an experienced team working on a new third-person multiplayer action title that has yet to be announced.”
While it’s not yet clear which franchise the description of the first draft refers to, given recent history of studio developments, theories, and rumors of a possible Crackdown 4 they already echo in forums and social networks.
We will have to wait for more information on these new titles from Sumo Digital since the studio has not only worked for Microsoft, but also for SEGA with games like Sonic Racing Team and more recently, Sackboy: a great adventure for Sony.
