Creative Assembly has established itself as one of the main developers and one of the most important assets of SEGA. This is all due to its magnificent video game history as the great saga of Total war and survival horror Alien isolation. Apparently, the studio is ready to embark on a different genre in the world of video games.
The development of this IP from an FPS by a developer last year had long been confirmed. Despite being aware of the existence of this new title, we don’t yet have a lot of information about it, such as its title and what information we will receive over time.
Despite this, Sega Europe’s research director Tim Heaton says it’s still in development. In a statement he gave in an interview with GamesIndustry Regarding SEGA’s approach to promoting established IPs and creating new ones, Heaton mentioned that Creative Assembly continues to develop its FPS.
The new IP address of the studio in charge of bringing the Total War and Alien Isolation saga into the world is still in development
“Each of our studios really has a franchise, and they’ve all matured with these IPs in general,” Heaton said. “What we’re trying to do now is look for a new IP address. There’s a new FPS game coming from Creative Assembly, and they’re developing new teams around new IPs. Our internal studies now have this double strategy: do more with what you have and think about new titles.
We can not give more data on this game at the moment excluding the fact of its existence. It is known from previous job postings that it could integrate with online services. For now, that’s all we know.
