Crystal Dynamics is rolling back to paid XP boosts

While Marvel’s Avengers split players over its content, the game offered a wide range of cosmetic items. These were available from the in-game store for internal currency or hard dollars. It was also possible to exchange the game currency for certain items that would help you gain experience.

After the game arrived in Xbox Game Pass, Crystal Dynamics surprised everyone by announcing the option to purchase these XP boosts, the Hero’s catalysts and the Fragment extractors for real money in early October. This had caused outrage among the players, especially given the promises made earlier by the studio that went in the opposite direction. And the players won.

As a result, these two items will no longer be available for purchase starting this Tuesday evening after teams realized that players were viewing this as a pay-to-win mechanic rather than an easy option for the entire community. . However, these items can still be won in-game.

Marvel’s Avengers is available on the Microsoft Store for $ 39.99. The title is also included in Xbox Game Pass for consoles, PC and cloud.
