Last July, Red Hook Studios finally launched Darkest Dungeon 2 on all platforms. After a period in Early Access on Steam, this long-awaited sequel has arrived on Xbox Series X|S, Nintendo Switch, and PS5. But the journey is only just beginning, as various DLCs are on the way that will further expand our troop of heroes and allow us to experience new independent campaigns.
And the first of them, Hunger of the Beast Clan, has been confirmed to be coming as early as 2024.
New areas, heroes and enemies await us in Darkest Dungeon 2
This went through a Steam Post where the studio confirmed that this first part of Kingdoms, the game’s independent campaign, will arrive in the fourth quarter of 2024. Without a specific date, this The first expansion will feature Beastmen as enemies. We will have to defend the kingdom and improve our inns to face new threats.
Furthermore, the study confirmed that in addition to another DLC will come soon, paid, called Inhuman Bondage, which will add a new region with new enemies, described as corrosive and “rezing”, and new items. It will also be available in the Realms as in the base game and promises a high risk with an even higher reward. And to face it, we will have a new herostill unknown, but which will have unique mechanics.
