Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide, an Xbox Series X | S exclusive console originally expected for this year, has just been postponed to spring 2022. Like many studios and companies, Fatshark has not been spared the health crisis. The teams need more time to refine their game, the developers have released a press release explaining the reasons for this postponement.
Today we made the difficult decision to postpone the release date of Warhammer 40,000: Dark Tide in spring 2022.
We have a responsibility to make the best game possible and frankly we need more time to get there. It’s no secret that developing a game during a pandemic is challenging and we are not spared it. We plan to use the extra time to both focus on the quality level of release and invest in more systems to support Darktide for years to come.
We couldn’t be more excited on Dartide. In fact, the hardest part of making this decision is that you won’t be able to take control of the game sooner. But I hope you come to Hive Tertium early next year.
On behalf of the more than 150 “Sharks” here in Stockholm, I thank you for your excellent support.
