Dambuster Studios revealed the frame rate for dead island 2 on new and old generation consoles. PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions will run at 60fps. While Xbox One and PS4 will run at a more modest 30 fps. The graphic resolution that would be achieved was not specified. Although the Xbox Store indicates compatibility with 4K Ultra HD, so it could be a separate mode that downscales or skips 4k.
The developer also confirmed that there will be no cross-platform play, although cross-generational multiplayer will be supported. Details on the latter and the co-op mode will be revealed later in another official blog post. As for the HUD, players can customize all kinds of information. From central notification popups and objective markers to zombie health and damage numbers.
Although only English audio is available for dialogue, supported languages for subtitles and written information will be subtitled in multiple languages. These include English, Spanish, Italian, Mexican Spanish (non-neutral Latin), Czech, Simplified Chinese, Korean, Japanese, Traditional Chinese, French, Russian, German, Brazilian Portuguese and Polish.
