With the help of the German government, Daedalic Entertainment will once again try their luck in Middle-earth.
The Lord of the Rings: Gollum was destroyed by critics. Many saw Daedalic Entertainment’s failure coming with the game, others were in for a big surprise with the new adventure based on one of JRR Tolkien’s most controversial characters. However, it seems that the devs don’t plan to leave Middle-earth so soon
The new project would even be financed by the German government, which would have provided some two million dollars which went unused to Gollum and would be used for a new production. In fact, the information of the existence of this game comes from the grants database

Apparently the funds were received in June last year, so it’s understood that the game would already be quite developed, and there’s even talk that it could arrive by August next year, although that without count the delays and other vicissitudes of that, without going any further, Gollum had fillers
As for the game itself, it would be an action/adventure title that would focus on a new story from Tolkien’s universe and not on a particular character as seen in Gollum.
