In a new trailer for BLEACH Rebirth of Souls, Bandai Namco Entertainment presented gameplay footage of combat mechanics, game modes, powerful characters and cinematic battles.
Now there are more details before the narrative anime brawler will be available on March 21, 2025 for PlayStation 4|5, Xbox Series X|S and PC via Steam.
BLEACH Rebirth of Souls engages players in exciting, action-packed combat in a battle of swords and strength. The game features a number of iconic characters from the anime franchise including Ichigo Kurosaki, Rukia Kuchiki, Uryu Ishida, Yasutora Sado (Chad) and many more.
These legendary fighters compete in an advanced combat system that emphasizes each character's playstyle and showcases their individual strengths.
Each character can also draw on their Konpaku, or spiritual energy, to perform certain signature moves and unleash their Reiatsu, powerful unique attacks known as Spiritual Pressure Moves.
The trailer shows new actions, movesets and combos, including:
- Reverse actions: Heat up the fight with Reverse Actions, powerful moves unleashed by the character's Konpaku.
- Chain reversal: Seamlessly connects to attacks and combines this move with active combos for additional damage.
- Burst Reverse: Stops the opponent's momentum with this technique, which knocks the opponent back and interrupts their attacks.
- Kikon move: Deal enough damage to the opponent to unlock the powerful Kikon move, which can destroy the opponent's Konpaku.
- awakening: Turns the tide of battle with Fighting Spirit, an energy that accumulates over the course of combat to activate the Awakening state, giving the player a stat boost as well as powerful and punishing reversals.
- Kikon Canal: The Kikon moves, activated by the accumulation of fighting spirit while in a state of awakening, are devastating single strikes that are delivered as a reversal action and can cause a dramatic change in momentum.
The new trailer also highlights that BLEACH Rebirth of Souls features various modes to explore, such as: B. Battle opponents online, relive iconic moments from BLEACH history, play through unseen stories, and more.
In Battle Mode, players can experience exciting co-op matches with their local friends and show off their pride and skills in intense battles against players around the world.
In Story Mode, players can experience the legendary BLEACH storyline and follow Ichigo Kurosaki's journey from the Substitute Soul Reaper arc to the end of the Arrancar arc.
Additionally, Story Mode features narratives from each character's perspective, providing a deeper and more personal look at the iconic events of BLEACH through their eyes.
Finally, players can test their mettle in various difficulty levels, hone their skills and further improve their techniques in Mission Mode.
