A few weeks ago, EA announced a series of massive layoffs that took away several projects. One of them was the Star Wars FPS based on The Mandalorian, the new game from Respawn Entertainment. However, this wasn’t the only project from the creators of Titanfall, Apex Legends and Star Wars Jedi.
While the third opus of the Cal Kestis trilogy is simmering, Respawn has had another co-development of the Disney license with Bit Reactor: an RTS that would not have been canceled.
Bit Reactor and Respawn partnership continues
According to new information released today, this strategy game will continue its development, in progress under Unreal Engine 5. An idea reinforced by Bit Reactor’s latest job offers, where they are looking for a Senior Lighting Artist
Of course, with the exception of this small element, the project of this new Star Wars RTS is still shrouded in a cloud of mystery and secrecy. We just know it exists and it shouldn’t be long before we see it announced.

In addition to this project, Respawn has in hand the third chapter of the story of Cal Kestis, a Star Wars Jedi 3 which will be produced under Unreal Engine 5. How long will it take before we can enjoy it?
