Microsoft recently introduced a new feature for its next-gen consoles, Xbox Series X and S. The Redmond company called it “FPS Boost”, and natively increases the frame rate per second of certain backward compatible titles. Of course, you can sacrifice resolution in some cases.
This new feature was released with a first batch of five games, which are Watch dogs 2, UFC4, Sniper Elite 4, Farcry 4 Yes New Super Lucky tale.
A compatible catalog that will grow
According to “Major Nelson”, that this same 2021 will accomplish twenty years with the Xbox brand, it was expected that Dragon Age Inquisition will be part of this first batch. The RPG published by Bioware in 2014 has been included in this list beginsMe, but ultimately it was not like that.
“As with all the best plans, things can change at the last minute,” the executive said.
From Microsoft, they saw the game as one of the first to support “FPS Boost” technology, but it seems that something has gone wrong and we’ll have to wait. The logical thing is to think that they are still working on it, and hopefully soon title receives support for new features. The company has stated that it will add “FPS Boost” support to more games in the near future, and that we will have news in the coming weeks and months
You can try for yourself how this new implementation works from your own Xbox Series X or Series S, with this first list of games. We can’t wait to see the new compatible games announced. Of course, from Xbox Area we will send you informed of any news in this regard.
