One of the most requested features in fighting games.
Released in 2018 on older generation machines, Dragon Ball FighterZ had not yet received its update for Xbox Series X|S. Given the success of their game, the developers have chosen to study the issue and it seems that they are ready to offer an even more improved version.
In addition to small usual graphical tweaksthe main contribution of this optimized version will be the throwback Network code. As a reminder (and as our colleague Albert regularly reminds us), this feature present in fighting games allows the system to anticipate the button on which the players will press. This allows online games to optimize latency and increase the smoothness of the action. It is therefore a significant step forward for new generation machines.
No date was given for the availability of the update. In addition, we recommend this article by our colleague Albert who talks in depth about Rollback Netcode.
