Electronic Arts officially announced the restructuring of Bioware.
Bioware is restructured that Electronic Arts has just officially announced. A core team is now working on the new Mass Effect game, the leadership of which is adopted by the veterans of the original trilogy.
In an open letter you turn to the fans:
“Hello everyone, today we turn to the future and prepare for the next chapter in the history of Bioware.”
“As we announced in August 2023, we change the way we develop games in order to meet the requirements of our upcoming projects and to adhere to the highest quality standards.”
“After the release of Dragon Age: The Veilguard, a core team from Bioware is now developing the next Mass Effect game under the direction of veterans of the original trilogy, including Mike Gamble, Preston Wataniuk, Derek Watts, Parrish Ley and others.”
“In accordance with our tireless commitment to innovations during the development and publication of Mass Effect, we have challenged ourselves to think deeply about how we can offer our fans the best experience. We take this opportunity between full development cycles to redesign our way of working at Bioware. ”
“At this stage of development we do not need support from the entire studio. We have incredible talents here at Bioware, and that's why we have worked hard in the past few months to bring many of our colleagues together with other teams at EA who had vacancies that fit us well. ”
