EA Celebrates Indie Studios in Spotlight Second Series of Videos. It starts at 7:00 p.m.!
Electronic Arts is releasing another part of the Spotlight series today as part of the preparations for EA Play Live. The “EA <3s Independent Studios" spotlight is commented on by members of Studios Hazelight, Zoink Games, Velan Studios and Silver Rain Games and aims to bring players closer to the people behind the games they love.
The EA <3s Independent Studios spotlight will take place on July 13th at 7:00 pm. The live stream can be seen here on the official EA Play YouTube channel:
All EA Originals studios will chat with LA Times’ Todd Martens about the latest games and upcoming titles. Josef Fares of Hazelight Studios will talk about the immense success of It Takes Two, which again demonstrated how much good storytelling can make in video games.
Olov Redmalm from Zoink Games will cover Lost in Random, the studio’s newest title. The fairytale adventure will be released in 2021 for PC and consoles and will lead players through a twisted dystopia full of uncertainty and chaos. Abubakar Salim and Mel Phillips of Silver Rain Games talk about their two-year-old studio, whose thought-provoking game receives funding and publishing from EA Originals. In addition, Guha Bala from Velan Studios will share news about the dodgeball hit Knockout City, which had more than 5 million players within two weeks of its release.
