One of the most popular genres at the moment is that of survival horror which is slowly coming back to experience a boom equal to or greater than that which it experienced in its beginnings. Last year we were able to enjoy the remake of Dead Space, a game that amazed players and critics but it seems that this did not satisfy the economic projections of Electronic Arts, which would have canceled the remastering of other titles in the saga.
Glen Schofield himself, creator of the saga, tried to convince the developer to continue with the franchise with a fourth payment. For this purpose, they also met Bret Robbins and Christopher Stone, veterans of the IP, but EA remained firm in its refusal.
The frustrated return of Dead Space
The meeting between creatives and managers took place this year as revealed by Schofield in an interview which he provided on the Dan Allen Gaming channel on YouTube. Despite the Dead Space creator's negative and not-so-good debut with The Callisto Protocol, this would be encouraged with a new episode of the franchise which propelled him to success.
