On the green, EA SPORTS PGA TOUR players can now choose to hole in performance mode at 60fps.
The golf game EA SPORTS PGA TOUR has now been given a new graphics mode. With the current 4.5 update, players can now decide for themselves whether they want to hit the green with 60 fps in performance mode or 30 fps in quality mode.
Quality Mode: Represents the current behavior of the game, which offers the highest image quality at 30 frames per second (FPS).
Performance Mode: A completely new rendering mode that offers smoother camera movements and animations at 60fps, but at the cost of lower resolution and visual fidelity.
The differences between the two modes are shown in these two images:
The update includes improvements and bug fixes. You can read about them in the fold-out patch notes.
In anticipation of next week’s US Women’s Open, updates have been made to support a number of challenges that will be released during the tournament.
Finally, we fixed a bug that caused career mode leaderboards to show “E” for each golfer during the intro and outro sequences, regardless of their actual score. We understand and share your frustration when an update introduces a new issue like this that you haven’t encountered before. We continue to strive to add new features like “Performance Mode” to EA SPORTS™ PGA TOUR™, but will do our best to achieve this without compromising the quality of your current experience.
