During a meeting with investors, the CEO of Warner Bros. raised the possibility of making a superhero title to take advantage of a future film.
In the not-too-distant past, we had a lot of rumors about a supposed new Man of Steel game being in development. However, years after this series of hypotheses, nothing happened, but now the one who spoke about this alleged development is none other than David Zaslav, the CEO of Warner Bros.
Last year, Warner Media and Discovery merged and Zaslav gave the green light to many projects related to the DC universe in terms of video games and films such as the already famous Superman: Legacy which will come from the hand of James Gunn and hopes to become the face of the comic company’s new cinematic universe.
The desire and the difficulty of seeing Superman in a video game as the only protagonist
In meeting with investorsthe executive talked about the incredible profits that Hogwarts Legacy had made and highlighted the fact that this achievement was made because took gamers into the gaming worldsomething that could also be done with other company IPs, including Superman.
In that same statement, Zaslav pointed to a possible title of Kal-el indicating that in the years to come a new Superman movie could be released and therefore a game could accompany this production and so audiences could spend a lot more time in the Kryptonian superhero world. The future will tell if this project idea is maintained or not, but it will undoubtedly be interesting to see the man with the red cape in a well-finished title.
