Getting a next-gen graphics card has become impossible and its prices exceed what has never been seen before. Perhaps the fault is cryptocurrency mining, the price of GPUs is rising and miners continue to buy them like hotcakes while gamers are forced to spend a fortune updating our old graphics. But to make matters worse, when the Amazon MMORPG New World premiered, many RTX 3090s were stuck and are only serving as a clipboard.
Fortunately, EVGA owners will be able to claim and replace their very expensive GTX 3090. Thanks to the information published in PC player, all they have to do is go straight to a special section for the New World game and give the reason for the problem. It is worth mentioning the wonderful service provided by EVGA and hopefully the other companies will follow suit. To alleviate the Amazon Games controversy, the head of New World said in a statement that:
“New World performs standard DirectX operations as provided by the Windows API itself. We haven’t seen any widespread issues with the 3090, either in beta or during our many months of alpha testing, The New World’s closed beta is safe to play. “
Despite everything, and to dispel any doubt, Amazon Games has released a patch for New World in order to limit the frames per second on its menu screen and thus “reassure players even more”
For its part, EVGA indicated that “all defective 3090s are being replaced”.
New World was a success in its beta test
The New World beta was a success and if not ask Steam. With nearly 200,000 people playing at the same time, it became the most played new MMORPG game in recent times when it was released. Also if we consider that this kind of games is a bit in the doldrums, it is a great merit to have reached so many players. Here’s a video of its premiere on Steam:
New World is expecting its PC premiere next month, hopefully the folks over at Amazon will try a little harder and release a version for consoles. Have you had any issues with New World? We want your feedback on the Generation Xbox beta
