For Final Fantasy XIV, the role-playing game will receive an Xbox-exclusive currency for microtransactions and other purchases.
After the open beta for newcomers in February, Final Fantasy XIV will launch on Xbox Series X|S on March 21st. Then players with an existing account for Final Fantasy XIV can also plunge into the adventure.
Square Enix is introducing its own currency for the Xbox Series X|S version of the game. The FFXIV Coins. The currency is purchased in the Microsoft Store for real money.
FFXIV Coins can be used to make microtransactions in the online store for things like costumes, mounts, weapons, furniture and more.
In Mog Station, however, players can use currency to upgrade to the full version or add game time to their subscription, among other things.
If you use your Final Fantasy XIV account on multiple platforms, you can make your purchases with real money via the game’s website as usual. The new FFXIV is intended for players who only play on Xbox Series X|S.
