At the end of September comes the first and unfortunately the last expansion for Cyberpunk 2077, called Phantom Liberty. What we’ve seen of her in the past Xbox Showcase trailer has been spectacular, with even gameplay snippets. Well, the first thing that surprised us was the confirmation by CD Projekt that this footage was captured on a PC with the assets and settings simulating an Xbox Series X
And it is that the Digital Foundry team had access to the gameplay that the Polish studio showed during the last Summer Game Fest, where a select group was able to test it, but not capture it, so this so-called “b -roll” is essentially a video capture of the game, in which fragments can be seen running on Xbox Series X and PS5 in quality and performance modes and on PC in RT Overdrive mode, the most spectacular of all. Of course, a comparison was made.

Forget about performance issues, it gets hard
Getting rid of the previous generation of consoles certainly benefited a title that should have been a next-gen-only title from the get-go. In this trailer we can see the Xbox Series X shards look great, barely losing performance in any of the modes and looking solid, gorgeous and impressive with dynamic 900-1440p resolution to keep up. images. Special mention though for the Windows version’s RT Overdrive mode which is a real game-changer by offering totally realistic lighting and making certain scenes look almost as if they have a different tone and tone. Too bad we couldn’t see any shards of the Xbox Series S, probably because it needs some extra optimization to get a fully optimal result.
Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty will arrive on September 26 on Xbox Series X | S, PS5 and PC, at a price of $ 34.99 and offers a new area of the city of Night City and a completely new story that will return us to put in the shoes of V, our alterego.
