The PlayStation 5 is said to have been delivered to retailers almost five times as often as Xbox Series X|S in the first quarter.
When it comes to consoles delivered to retailers, PlayStation is usually ahead. This was no different in the first quarter of the calendar year.
Daniel Ahmad of Niko Partners estimates that the PlayStation 5 shipped almost five times more than Xbox Series X|S.
In the latest financial report, SONY reported 59.3 million consoles shipped in total. 4.5 million consoles were delivered in the first quarter.
As usual, Microsoft doesn’t provide any numbers, but said in its financial report that Xbox hardware sales fell 31% compared to the same period last year.
