Hello adventurers! Today marks a big milestone for our small studio IronOak Games. We're excited to announce to the Xbox community that you can play For King II via Xbox Game Pass on December 12th!
We expect there to be hardened veterans For the king I'm reading this, but new recruits are joining the ranks of the Resistance, so come along and let us tell you more about what to expect…
For King II is the sequel to the extremely popular For the king. Building on the successes of its predecessor For King II follows suit, bringing innovation and exciting gameplay to a popular RPG that bridges the boundaries of rogue-lite elements and tabletop gameplay. There's multiplayer, grid-based combat, fantastic adventures, and plenty of opportunities for terrible group decision-making. What more could you want? We've been available on Steam for a year now, meaning Xbox users get the best version of the game, including the new Infinite Dungeon mode, skins, items and much more!

So what threatens Fahrul, you ask? The once-beloved Queen Rosomon has turned against her subjects, gaining untold power and aligning herself with nefarious forces old and new. Gather your party in four-player co-op mode or experience Fahrul alone and risk everything to fight the tyrannical queen and put an end to her oppressive rule.

Entering Fahrul for the first time?
Each biome has a sanctuary and a stone hero. Make sure you find each of them before moving to a new area. Hallows provide great buffs and reviving, while Stone Heroes are crucial for leveling up quickly.

The biggest changes between For The King and For The King II
The most obvious change is that we have expanded the group size. For The King II allows up to four players, so you can host a larger group, or you can play in a group of two and no one is the odd one out since everyone can now control two characters. Another really big change is combat. Combat now takes place on a grid instead of a single line. We've added a ton of new mechanics that allow for AOE spells, movement across tiles, tile buffs and debuffs, and line attacks. There are many ways to take on the villains of Fahrul.

Perfect party composition
I like to go to Fahrul with the hunter, herbalist, street musician and blacksmith. This gives me a mix of magical and physical damage while also giving me good flexibility with most stats. After unlocking more characters, I like running with the Alchemist, who has the Nimble trait.
What makes The King II replayable?
Two areas stand out for me because FTKII is replayable and addictive. Since it's multiplayer, it's a great game to jump in and out of with different friend groups and different play styles; Secondly, there are so many ways to approach each chapter or the Dark Carnival that no two runs are the same.
Thank you for being part of our next chapter and we hope you enjoy it For King II!
