Obsidian’s long-awaited title is still in development.

Although Obsidian is well known in the video game industry, the announcement of its acquisition by Microsoft has delighted many gamers. Since then, the studio teams have announced numerous projects: Grounded or the continuity of The Outer Worlds license. But one title left its mark: Declared. This was revealed in a short trailer in summer 2020 and will take place in the world of the pillars of eternity.

This week, we learned that Obsidian had hired an experienced person for this new project: Goalkeeper Ryan, who joins the studio as production manager on Avowed. He participated in the development of many well-known games. Spent 11 years at Bioware in positions ranging from assistant producer to producer on all three games of Mass Effect, as well as in Dragon Age: Inquisition.

After the development of Dragon Age: Inquisition, Goalkeeper Ryan he joined Riot Games work on League of Legends and Legends of Runeterra. He has now joined Obsidian beginning of January to work exclusively on Avowed, according to your Linkedin profile.

A great signing for the studio who seem to be well on their way to developing Avowed and we look forward to hearing more from him soon.
