The future of the Alpha Grand Prix in The Crew 2 Season 8 Episode 2: “USST NEXT” is coming. Today, May 10th, the new era of high-speed racing begins.
Ubisoft announces that the latest free The Crew 2 updateSeason 8 Episode 2: USST Next, available today for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows PC via the Ubisoft Store, Epic Games Store, and Steam. Players can also subscribe to Ubisoft+ and Amazon Luna.
In this second episode of Season 8, The Crew 2 has some new surprises in store, including an exciting partnership between Motorflix, our in-game content provider, and the US Speed Tour series. Ten new events are taking place in the middle of Lake Michigan with a brand new gameplay modifier never seen before in The Crew 2: Speed Boosters.
This exclusive feature, only available in the new USST Next events, makes for a fast-paced experience. The new vacuum chambers give a temporary speed boost that allows over 500km/h to reach!
Players must pay attention to the different types of boosters that occupy all or part of the track and make strategic decisions as the AI can also take advantage of these speed boosts.
Players can get behind the wheel of futuristic AGP concept cars in the Motorflix Arena, a fully enclosed track, to master the speed boosters.
This second episode also introduces a brand new Motor Pass containing 50 tiers with exclusive rewards, both free and premium. Rewards include special edition vehicles such as the McLaren 720S Spider Blast Edition (Hypercar), Proto Concept Sparrow Competition (AGP), Lotus Evora GTE Overcut Edition (Street Racing), as well as various vanity items, outfits, currency packs (Crew Credits and Bucks) and much more .
A total of 17 tiers offer free rewards, including the Creators Concept Spruemeister SM71 (AGP) designed by John Frye, Chief Designer, Digital Modeling and Visualization Team at Honda Motorsports.
In USST NEXT, many vehicles from previous Motor Passes will make their comeback to the store, allowing players to purchase them with Bucks or CCs. The list of returning vehicles includes the Chevrolet Grand Sport Armored Edition (street racing) on May 10, the Shelby GT500 1967 Americar Edition (rally cross) on May 31, the Volkswagen Kombi High School Edition (monster truck), and the Creators Tkachenko Ice Hunter (Rally Cross) on June 21st.
In addition to the vehicles available in the Engine Pass, new vehicles will be added to the shop throughout the season to give players as much choice as possible. From May 10, the Proto Concept Glow Motorsport (AGP) and the Proto Concept Pulse Performance (AGP) can be driven. More surprises will be added as the episode progresses with new vehicles.
USST Next also features expanded customization options with 40 additional vanity items including animated roofs, avatar outfits, smoke, tires, skid plates, tinted windows and more.
