To develop global markets, Microsoft would like to further expand the Xbox Play Anywhere feature.
Xbox Play Anywhere allows players to play their digitally acquired games on both their Xbox and their Windows PC, whereby scores and achieves are seamlessly synchronized.
According to VP of Xbox Gaming Devices & Ecosystem Jason Ronald, the feature is very popular and is now supported by over 1,000 games.
Xbox Head of Strategic Markets Agnes Kim has now said that the end of the flagpole has far from being reached in an interview with 4gamer.
When asked about the Asian market and the indie developers active in the region, she names Xbox Play Anywhere as one of the important tools for global markets.
However, it should continue to be a flexible option for developers and are by no means forced:
“We believe that through the further expansion of Play Anywhere, we will be able to expand the ecosystem and reach more players,” said Kim.
