Electronic Arts and Lucasfilm Games announce round -based tactical game Star Wars Zero Company for 2026 with the first details.
At the Star Wars Celebration Japan, Electronic Arts introduced the new round-based single player tactic game Star Wars Zero Company, which is developed by Bit Reactor in collaboration with respawn entertainment and lucasfilm games.
In Star Wars Zero Company, players take on the role of Hawks, a former officer of the Republic, who leads an elite team. A dark and authentic story is told in the turmoil of the clone wars.
The zero company is an unconventional group of professionals from all parts of the galaxy who have to add their differences to make almost impossible and to counter a growing threat that will devour the galaxy when nobody stands in their way.
“Our vision for Star Wars Zero Company is based on columns of the gameplay design that combine the Immersive Galaxy of Star Wars with exciting, round-based tactics gameplay,” says Greg Foertsch, CEO and Creative Director at Bit Reactor. “We want to deliver a game with an original Star Wars story from the time of the clone wars, in which the decisions of the players are significant, with round-based tactical fights as well as an accessible and cinematic presentation.”
“We at Lucasfilm Games are big tactics fans and have wanted to play such a game for a long time,” says Douglas Reilly, General Manager and Vice President at Lucasfilm Games. “In really good tactics games, it is always about important decisions, and we are sure that with bit reactor we have selected the right team to develop a captivating and innovative game that does justice to Star Wars.”
In Star Wars Zero Company, players embark on a trip with tactical operations and studies through the entire galaxy. Between the missions, the end of the game builds up an operation base and operate a network of informants in order to always be one step ahead of the opponents of the company.
Players can create and adapt their own group of recruited members, while they also get to know a variety of new, prefabricated star Wars characters.
Hawks appearance and combat class can be completely individualized, and a selection of original Star Wars character classes and species is available for recruited members. Players can adapt to the look, equipment and skills of troop members from a variety of character archetypes, including clone soldiers, astromechs and even a Jedi.
The members of the company build zero personal relationships in action and unlock powerful combat synergies that can be decisive in battle. Due to the almost endless possibilities and numerous encounters, in which the fate of the galaxy is at stake, the players have to prepare intensively, plan skillful strategies and put together their squad correctly in order to be successful.
Star Wars Zero Company will be released on PC, PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X | s.
